Ghana’s determined display against England meant their qualification destiny rested solely with them as they approached the last Group L match in Philadelphia.
“I think we did our best to get the results we were hoping for. It was the plan of the coach and we followed the plan.”
“It’s a great motivation for us to fight for the next game. Playing against a tough national team like England and getting such results is a big motivation for us.”
“We defended a lot against England today, but I feel we got one chance that I feel could have given us the three points. Going against Croatia is going to be all in for the nation,” he added.

While playing beside Thomas Partey, he said it was an opportunity to learn from his experience.
“He (Partey) has a lot of experience from playing in the top leagues. So, every time training with him at the training grounds, we learn a lot from him, especially me as a midfielder, always playing close beside him. So we learn a lot. And when we saw him starting the game, we were all happy and we were all with him to let him stay focused and help the team.”
