Manchester City and Chelsea have agreed on a €20 million payment to terminate Enzo Maresca’s contract.
Maresca is expected to travel to Manchester later on Monday to sign a three‑year deal with the club.
He will take over from Pep Guardiola, who stepped down at the Etihad at the end of last season.
Sky Sport Italia reports that City will pay Chelsea €20 million to release Maresca from his contract.
The Italian was still under contract with Chelsea despite being sacked in January.
Maresca has long been viewed as the preferred successor to Guardiola, having served as his assistant during the 2022‑23 season.
