Iran launches missiles and drones toward the United States

Iran fired a series of missiles and drones at the United States in retaliation for recent U.S. strikes.

Preliminary assessments indicate that the vast majority of the incoming weapons were intercepted by U.S. defenses.

No U.S. personnel were harmed, and there was no reported damage to U.S. facilities in the region at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti officials said their air defense systems were intercepting hostile aerial targets.

The Iranian barrage followed the United States’ announcement of a series of strikes on Iran after the earlier downing of an American Army helicopter.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the United States had chosen to test Iran’s determination, adding that Iran’s armed forces would respond to any attack or threat.
