Governor Dr Nasir Idris of Kebbi State declared that the government and its citizens will not yield to bandit attacks. He pledged a renewed effort to eliminate the threat and protect residents.

During an emergency security meeting at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, the governor outlined plans to strengthen the state’s security framework. He assured that bandits would soon be driven out of the state.

The meeting aimed to coordinate responses to emerging security challenges and to implement lasting solutions.

Governor Idris voiced deep concern over recent attacks in parts of the state and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to curbing insecurity so that every resident can “sleep with both eyes closed.”

“My administration will not tolerate or spare anyone found to be an informant. Anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law, and justice will be served,” he said.

While praising the work of security agencies in the state, the governor highlighted their significant impact on maintaining peace and harmony.

“I urge all residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible information. People should not withhold information; they should share it promptly,” he added.

The governor’s stance against the terror attacks was communicated in a statement released to the media by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ahmed Idris.
