UYO—Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reiterated his administration’s and partners’ commitment to the Ibom Deep Sea Port Project after a high‑level technical meeting with Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Group in Paris, France.

A brief statement released by State Commissioner for Information Aniekan Umanah on Saturday in Uyo noted that the working session held on Friday reviewed the Technical Feasibility Report recently submitted by Worley Parsons and examined key pathways for investment, project implementation, and long‑term sustainability.

The statement added that the Akwa Ibom State Government and prospective partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the Deep Sea Port initiative, describing it as a landmark Blue Economy project that could position the state as a leading maritime, trade and logistics hub in the Gulf of Guinea.

During the engagement, Governor Eno stressed the need to accelerate project delivery and requested clear timelines, defined milestones, and actionable next steps to move the project from planning to execution.

The Governor was accompanied on the trip by the Chairman of the Technical Committee on the Ibom Deep Sea Port Project and former Director‑General of NIMASA, Mrs. Mfon Usoro, Esq.; Secretary to the State Government Prince Enobong Uwah; Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy Dr. Frank Ekpeyong; Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Engr Uwem Okoko, FNSE; and other members of the state delegation.
