Calabar to host the 2026 NWFL Championship

The 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) championship will be held in Calabar, according to DAILY POST.

The tournament will bring together teams from the Nationwide division that are competing for elite status.

It will act as the promotion playoff for the NWFL.

The competition is scheduled to run from Thursday, July 9 to Thursday, July 16, 2026.

A total of 16 teams will vie for two promotion spots to the top tier.

The three lowest‑ranked teams will be relegated to the NWFL Nationwide division.
