Rotimi Amaechi, a presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has issued a warning about the party’s ongoing primary election.

After voting in the primary held in his home ward of Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Amaechi told reporters that he would challenge the process if it proved to be neither free nor fair.

He described the voting day as follows: “There was a large turnout, followed by celebration and dancing. We then had INEC officials present, and I cast my ballot before leaving the venue.”

He added, “I was watching the situation state by state, hoping the system would be as transparent as it was in my village. If it is transparent, I will accept the result; if it is not free and fair, many of us will react.”

“The answer is yes,” he said. “If someone else wins, I will work with them, but if the process is not free and fair, I will question it.”
