2027: I didn’t buy ADC presidential form to be Vice President – Amaechi

Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has stated that he did not purchase the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential form with the intention of later becoming Vice President.

Amaechi made the claim on Monday during an interview on Trust TV.

The former Rivers State governor was discussing the contest for the ADC presidential nomination.

He added that if the ADC seeks a consensus, a meeting should be convened; if the aspirants cannot agree, all parties should proceed to the primaries.

"Please stop that. I didn’t buy the ADC presidential ticket to become Vice President," he said.

Earlier, Amaechi had advised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar that they should go to the primaries, noting that Atiku does not support zoning.
