OSOGBO — The widow of an Accord Party member who was reportedly killed by gunmen in Esa‑Oke, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, described the events that led to her husband's death, claiming he was shot in her presence by attackers connected to local political violence.

The deceased, Aderogba Ajayi, a native of Esa‑Oke and Accord Party member, was said to have been killed by suspected thugs on Tuesday night.

During a condolence visit by Governor Ademola Adeleke to the family on Wednesday, Mrs. Tolulope Aderogba recounted the incident and urged that justice be served for her late husband.

Mrs. Aderogba added that Oladapo kept pressuring her husband to go and also asked whether he intended to attend a meeting with politician Wole Oke the next day, which he also refused.
