WAFU U-20 Tournament: Maikaba Wraps Up Flying Eagles’ Preparation Matches

Flying Eagles head coach Abdu Maikaba has finished his screening exercise and is now concentrating on assembling a squad that will defend the title at the WAFU B U-20 Tournament, DAILY POST reports.

Maikaba’s side began preparing for the regional tournament earlier this month in Abuja.

The seasoned tactician has now chosen the players who will take part in the competition, which will be hosted by Côte d’Ivoire next month.

Nigeria has won the last two editions of the WAFU B tournament.

The competition will serve as the qualifier for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Ghana will host the U-20 AFCON early next year.
