Victor Osimhen to be named Galatasaray captain: 3 big expectations await Super Eagles star

Galatasaray are planning to hand Victor Osimhen the club captaincy for the 2026/27 season as part of a major effort to keep the Nigerian striker in Istanbul, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Turkish champions see the 27-year-old, who was also considered for the Super Eagles captainship, as the face of their future project. Turkish football insiders say Galatasaray are offering Osimhen a level of authority he may not receive immediately at clubs such as Arsenal or Chelsea, where established leadership groups already exist.
