Trump to undergo dental, medical exams on May 26

The White House announced Monday that President Donald Trump will undergo his yearly dental and medical examinations on May 26 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

“This will include the President’s routine annual dental and medical assessments as part of his regular preventive health care,” the statement read.

The Republican billionaire, who will turn 80 next month, has repeatedly told reporters that he is both mentally and physically healthy, often without prompting.

In October, Trump completed his second major medical evaluation of 2025. He later said an MRI performed during that visit indicated his cardiovascular health was “excellent.”

“His cardiac age — a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG — was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction,” wrote his physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, in a letter released by the White House at the time.

Trump also underwent a semi‑annual checkup in April.

Since returning to office, the oldest person ever sworn in as U.S. president has frequently been seen with bruising on his right hand, sometimes concealed with makeup.

The White House has attributed those marks to aspirin, which he takes as part of a “standard” cardiovascular health regimen.

Last summer, the administration disclosed that Trump was evaluated for leg swelling and diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency—a condition in which defective vein valves cause blood to pool, leading to swelling, cramping, and skin changes.

The disorder can be managed with medication or targeted procedures.
