Operation FANSAN YAMMA troops have stepped up offensive actions in the North‑West, killing two bandits, arresting seven individuals suspected of collaborating with terrorists, and disrupting criminal activities in Kaduna and Zamfara states.

An operational report released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday stated that soldiers from the 4 Demonstration Battalion eliminated two bandits in Lere village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The report also noted that troops recovered stolen cattle, an AK‑47 rifle, a magazine, and ammunition during a response to cattle‑rustling incidents in the area.

In Zamfara State, the report said that soldiers detained four suspects believed to be linked to the notorious bandit kingpin Gwaska Dan Karami during a cordon‑and‑search operation in Birnin Magaji.

The suspects were identified as Alhaji Yahya Hoji, Abdullahi Dan Tsabaro, Kabiru Dan Gulgule, and Kalala.

The report further revealed that three additional suspects with alleged ties to terrorist activities were arrested while screening returning pilgrims at Gusau International Airport.

The military has reiterated its commitment to continuing the campaign against bandits and terrorists, urging the public to keep supporting the troops in their efforts to secure communities in the North West.
