Tinubu arrives in Nigeria after visiting three countries

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after completing a three‑nation tour of France, Kenya, and Rwanda.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced that the president’s aircraft landed at the Lagos Airport’s Presidential Wing around 7:12 p.m.

Upon arrival, Tinubu was greeted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu, Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, and other government officials.

During his stay in France, Tinubu met with global investors, stressing the importance of transparency and fiscal discipline and outlining the rationale behind the rapid implementation of his administration’s bold economic reforms.

He also took part in the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, which was co‑hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.

At the summit, Tinubu called for a reform of the global financial architecture and urged stronger economic integration that prioritises Africa’s growth and prosperity.

He highlighted Nigeria’s potential in the blue economy as a cornerstone of African development, announcing a commitment to share the country’s maritime intelligence infrastructure with willing Gulf of Guinea states.
