Politicians have your religious leaders on payroll – Aisha Yesufu tells Nigerians

Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has claimed that Nigerian politicians have some religious leaders on their payroll.

Yesufu made this claim in a post on her verified X handle on Monday.

She was reacting to the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, leading a prayer session.

“Nigerians want to pray their way to good governance! The same prayers that the politicians giving you bad governance are out-praying you on!

“They even have your religious rulers on their payroll. You bring sadaqah and tithes in thousands they bring theirs in billions,” she said.
