The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) has arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where his trial is ongoing.

The activist, who also publishes Sahara Reporters, was transported to the court from the Kuje correctional centre, where he is being held on remand.

On Monday, Justice Mohammed Garba Umar ordered that Sowore remain in prison pending the hearing and determination of his motion to stay the order revoking his bail and bench warrant.

He was promptly taken by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives and handed over to prison officials.

When he arrived at the court on Wednesday, Sowore was seen smiling during conversations with several lawyers.

Numerous activists and supporters are currently present at the court premises, awaiting the next development.

DAILY POST reports that the DSS is prosecuting Sowore for allegedly making false claims against President Bola Tinubu, calling him “a criminal” in a post he made on his “X” and Facebook accounts.
