Singer Jesse Jagz Criticizes Fellow Artists for Endorsing Betting and Gambling

Nigerian singer and rapper Jesse Jagz has criticised fellow celebrities who endorse betting and gambling brands.

The music star strongly condemned the practice in a recent post on social media.

He said that celebrities who promote gambling should be “stoned.”

On his X account, Jagz wrote, “We suppose to dey stone any artist promoting bets and gambling.”

Statistics show that more than 60 million Nigerians aged 18 to 40 actively participate in sports betting and gambling, making it one of the largest markets in Africa.

Celebrity endorsements are said to play a significant role in gambling addiction in Nigeria.

Many Nigerian celebrities—including singers, actors, skitmakers and influencers—have partnerships with both local and international gambling brands.
