Pastor Abel Damina, the founder of Power City International, has urged feminists to avoid marriage if they are unwilling to submit to their husbands.

He delivered this message to his congregation during a church service.

He characterized feminism as a constructive ideology when it aims to secure equal rights and opportunities for women in politics, the economy, and society.

“Feminism is ladies fighting for equal rights in society, which is ideal. It’s a very wonderful ideology, and it should be like that.”

“If a lady doesn’t want to submit to a husband, don’t marry. It’s not a sin for you to be alone and die single. Don’t marry, because if you marry, you will submit one way or the other,” he stated.

However, he argued that some women have extended the concept beyond the pursuit of equality, adopting attitudes that reject male authority while still desiring marriage.

He further linked the issue of submission in marriage to Christian faith, stating that believers are first called to submit to Christ.
