NPFL: Inter Lagos Boost Preparations for the New Season

Inter Lagos head coach Shakiru Giwa has announced that the club will intensify its preparations to be fully ready for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Giwa emphasized that achieving peak fitness will give his team a competitive edge in a league renowned for its demanding intensity and extensive travel.

The coach explained that training sessions are being designed to enhance endurance, speed, and recovery.

“Fitness is key for us this season,” Giwa told Sportslighthub. “We want to build a team that can compete for 90 minutes, home and away.”

He added that the technical staff will closely monitor player progress to prevent injuries.

Inter Lagos earned promotion to the NPFL for the first time in their history last season.
