Nigeria to hostthe CAF Ordinary Congress and the 2026 CAF Awards

According to DAILY POST, Nigeria is set to host the 2026 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards ceremony.

The West African country will also serve as the venue for the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly.

The CAF General Assembly is scheduled for October 2026, and the CAF Awards are planned for December 2026.

President Bola Tinubu disclosed the hosting arrangement during a meeting with CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe at the Africa Forward Summit taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

Morocco has hosted the previous three editions of the CAF Awards.

The ordinary congress will be attended by CAF’s 54 member associations, representatives of the six zonal unions, and senior football officials from throughout Africa.
