Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has reaffirmed his confidence in the club’s long‑term project, saying he would be the first to depart if he ever lost faith in the vision at Stamford Bridge.

Even after a difficult season, Lavia told The Standard that he remains fully committed to the “amazing” project being developed at the club.

“It’s hard to single out names because I believe leadership has emerged from many parts of the squad during the season,” Lavia explained.

“Leadership can be seen both on and off the pitch; some players demonstrate it through their presence and vocal support, while others do so through their performances.”

When asked to name specific leaders, Lavia said: “I could name a few. I’d probably point to Enzo (Fernandez), because he’s a World Cup winner and brings a wealth of experience.”

“When it comes to leadership, he’s a great example because he doesn’t need to speak much, and when he does, everyone listens.”

Lavia, who joined from Southampton, has battled injury setbacks but has re‑emerged as a key member of the squad, and the club remains confident in his long‑term potential.
