Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish Super Lig giants Beşiktaş ahead of the new season, Afrik-Foot reports.
Moffi’s future has remained uncertain since returning to Nice following his loan spell at Portuguese champions Porto. He moved to Portugal during the second half of last season on a loan spell and helped the club win the Primeira Liga title.
He left Nice during the January transfer window after he and some of his teammates were assaulted by sections of the club’s supporters, an incident that ended his involvement with the French side for the remainder of the campaign.
The Super Eagles forward returned to France after Porto did not take up the option of a permanent purchase, although there were doubts over his chances of staying at the club.

With Moffi also open to the move, there are some qualities hat have convinced Beşiktaş to pursue a move for the former Lorient striker.
Super Eagles star’s goalscoring prowess
Moffi has built a reputation as a reliable goalscorer throughout his career. The 27-year-old has consistently shown his ability to find the back of the net, especially in difficult conditions for his club.
His intelligent movement, ability to exploit spaces behind defenders and calm finishing have made him a dangerous striker over the years. Although his numbers have dipped in recent seasons, his overall record proves he is capable of delivering goals consistently when given the right environment.

The transfer would also set up an exciting race for the league’s Golden Boot. Moffi would join fellow Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray and Paul Onuachu of Trabzonspor, who have won the award over the past two seasons.
Competing against two of Nigeria’s top strikers could bring out the best in Moffi and provide the motivation he needs to return to his highest level.
Moffi’s physicality
Another major reason behind Beşiktaş’s interest is Moffi’s physical presence. The Super Eagles striker is strong both on and off the ball, allowing him to compete effectively in physical duels. He uses his body well to shield possession, hold off defenders and bring his teammates into attacking moves.
His strength also makes him a great option as a target man, giving his side another attacking dimension while creating space for others around him.
Those qualities are well suited to the demands of the Turkish Super Lig, where physical battles are a key part of the game. Moffi’s powerful style could make him an important figure for Beşiktaş as they look to challenge for major honours again.

If an agreement is reached, he could become the latest Super Eagles star to make the move to the Turkish Super Lig.
