Governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Lagos State, Mr Laja Adeoye, on Friday, commended residents of the state for their resilience, noting that June 12 occupies a special place in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Spokesperson of the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization, LACO, Ayodele Kazeem, hailed the courage and determination of Lagosians who continue to believe in democracy as the most viable path to development, accountability, and prosperity.

The statement reads: “The Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization (LACO) heartily congratulates the resilient and hardworking people of Lagos State on the occasion of Democracy Day, a historic moment that celebrates the triumph of the people’s will and the enduring values of freedom, justice, and representative governance.

“June 12 occupies a special place in Nigeria’s democratic journey. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by patriots who stood firmly for democratic ideals and the right of citizens to freely choose their leaders. As we commemorate this important day, we salute the courage and determination of Lagosians who continue to believe in democracy as the most viable path to development, accountability, and prosperity.

“On behalf of the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Laja Adeoye, and the entire leadership of our great party, we reaffirm our commitment to building a Lagos that works for all. A Lagos where governance is people-oriented, public resources are managed transparently, opportunities are accessible to every resident, and development reaches every community regardless of social or economic status.
