Businessman Isaac Fayose has alleged that his elder brother, former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, was responsible for Seyi Makinde’s election as governor in 2019.

According to the DAILY POST, Fayose and Makinde have been at odds since their political disagreement.

Isaac Fayose posted on his official Facebook page, detailing how the former governor allegedly facilitated Makinde’s rise to the governorship.

“Ayo Fayose made Seyi Makinde governor through me over 7 years ago. I was party to all that transpired between them,” he said.

“In this fight between my brother and Governor Makinde, I am going to support Ayo Fayose,” Isaac added.

He recalled attending meetings with the former governor that he said were pivotal in Makinde’s appointment as Oyo State governor.

“Makinde, do you remember the first cow we killed at my resort in Ring Road, Ibadan while planning to make you a governor?” Isaac asked. “Ayo Fayose made you Oyo State Governor, I’m not supporting him, I’m just being fair among both of you.”

“Do you remember, Victor Enahoro, Anthony Enahoro’s son? We were all at the meeting that brought you as governor. I went to my brother and begged him on your behalf and he did the needful,” he said.

Isaac urged the Oyo State governor to apologize to Fayose, who has said he intends to reclaim the state in 2027.

“I understand Fayose’s anger. Because he put you there and now you neglected him, he wants to take Ole Osa back,” he added.
