Globacom, a digital solutions provider, has broadened its “Borrow Me Credit” service, a strategic move aimed at preventing any subscriber from being disconnected because of a low or zero balance.
In a statement released in Lagos, Globacom explained that the eligibility criteria for the service have been simplified to deliver instant airtime and data solutions to millions of active prepaid customers nationwide. While a service charge applies, the company emphasized that the primary objective is to offer immediate relief when a customer’s balance is low.
The upgraded “Borrow Me Credit” service now allows subscribers to “Borrow Special Data” and also to “Borrow Airtime/Data for Others.” This feature enables Glo customers to support friends and family who may be out of reach or unable to recharge right away, thereby strengthening community ties through shared connectivity.
“Whether it is an urgent business call, a late‑night research project, or staying in touch with loved ones during an emergency, Glo’s “Borrow Me Credit” ensures that a low balance never results in a zero‑communication experience,” said Globacom.
The service offers airtime and data denominations ranging from as low as N25 up to N4,000, providing flexible options for various usage needs.
Globacom also noted that the service structure is designed to grant higher borrowing limits to customers with stronger usage profiles and greater engagement on the network.
