Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate – June 26, 2026: Nigerian Currency Ends the Week in Decline

The Naira continued to depreciate against the dollar, ending the week on a negative note in the official foreign exchange market on Friday.

Central Bank of Nigeria data showed the Naira weakened to N1,380.93 per dollar on Friday, compared with N1,380.11 on Thursday.

Thus, the Naira fell by N0.82 against the dollar on a day‑to‑day basis in the official market.

Daily Post reports that the Nigerian currency recorded four consecutive losses against the dollar, shedding N10.47 over the week under review.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1,400 per dollar for the major part of the week.

The development comes as the country’s foreign exchange sustained a surge against the dollar during the week under review.
