The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Kebbi State has suspended its State Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana‑Zuru, and the Zuru Local Government Area party chairman, Aliyu Abubakar Abiola, citing alleged breaches of party principles and procedures.
The suspension was announced in a statement signed by the state APC Secretary, Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba, and released to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.

The statement said the decision followed complaints from stakeholders in the Zuru Emirate, who alleged that the officials had shown a lukewarm attitude toward party activities, failed to engage key stakeholders, performed poorly in mobilisation efforts, and did not comply with established party guidelines.

The party noted that a review and investigation of the allegations prompted the suspension of the two officials.

It further added that the Deputy State Chairman would assume an acting role until further directives are issued.

Separately, the Kebbi State Government suspended the Commissioner for Livestock Development and Fisheries, Kabir Usman Alaramma Zuru.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala‑Tafida, announced that the suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice.

The statement also directed the commissioner to hand over all government property and official responsibilities in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry pending further action.
