Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he will alter the starting lineup for the Seleção’s second World Cup 2026 group‑stage match against Haiti after a disappointing 1‑1 draw with Morocco.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Ancelotti said Brazil “can and must do better” following the opening match and hinted that fresh faces might be introduced for the Haiti game.

“We’ll make some changes, perhaps bringing on a fresher player,” Ancelotti said ahead of Saturday’s clash.

“We need to improve in terms of balance and quality of play. Misplace fewer passes. We have the quality to do so, to play an entertaining match.”

The veteran Italian manager acknowledged that Brazil did not meet expectations in the first fixture and stated that solutions are being worked on before the Haiti encounter.

“Against Morocco, the match didn’t go well and it makes me a little critical of the team, we need to find a solution,” he said.

“We’ve been working in recent days to try to resolve the situation and I believe we’ll succeed because I remain confident that the team will be competitive in this World Cup.”

Ancelotti declined to name the players who will start against Haiti, saying he prefers to inform his squad before making any public announcement.

“I have no problem announcing the starting lineup. Football has no secrets, but I prefer to tell the players first,” he added.

Despite Haiti’s underdog status, the former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea manager warned Brazil not to underestimate their opponents.

“Haiti is a very balanced team, with quality that is especially physical, well‑organised, and with a rather clear system,” Ancelotti said.

“They play good football with the characteristics they have. We have to respect everyone because this is a World Cup and everyone is very motivated.”

Brazil enters the match hoping for its first victory of the tournament, while Haiti aims to create one of the biggest upsets of the World Cup so far.
