Germany secured a place in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32.

The qualification came after a 2‑1 victory over Côte d’Ivoire in their second Group E match on Saturday night.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side had opened the group stage with a decisive win against Curaçao, but had to come from behind to defeat the Elephants.

Franck Kessie gave the Ivorians the lead early in the first half, catching the Germans off‑guard.

Germany responded and earned all three points, with substitute Deniz Undav scoring twice.

They now join co‑hosts Mexico and the United States, who have already advanced to the knockout stage.
