Zimbabwe Reshuffles Squad Ahead of Super Eagles Match in Unity Cup

The Zimbabwe Warriors have reshuffled their lineup ahead of the Unity Cup semi‑final against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Completesports.com reports.

Three players—Tinotenda Kadewere, Divine Lunga, and Bill Antonio—will miss the match for different reasons.

Forward Kadewere, who plays for Greek Super League side Aris, is sidelined with an injury.

Defender Lunga was left out of the squad because of club commitments.

The 30‑year‑old is part of Mamelodi Sundowns’ squad for this weekend’s CAF Champions League final second‑leg clash against Morocco’s AS FAR.

Antonio requested to be excused from the squad due to personal commitments.

Head coach Kaitano Tembo has named Washington Navaya, Prosper Padera, and Isheanesu Mauchi as replacements for the trio.

The Warriors will face the holders, Nigeria, at the Valley—home ground of Sky Bet Championship club Charlton Athletic—on Tuesday, 26 May.

The winner will meet either India or Jamaica in the final at the same venue on Saturday, 30 May.
