Zichis Agro‑Allied Industries Plc is expanding its production capacity and enlarging its land holdings. The company’s animal‑feed plant now produces up to five tonnes per hour, a move that is expected to add N540 million to monthly revenue.

Executive Director of Finance & Strategies, Mr. Chris Ogbaisi, said the upgraded 5‑tonne‑per‑hour mill has begun operating and is projected to generate more than N540 million in monthly turnover.

He added that the upgrade is part of the firm’s medium‑to‑long‑term value‑creation plan, aimed at improving shareholder returns and strengthening the Zichis brand.

Ogbaisi also confirmed that the company has started clearing a 2,000‑acre farm estate, a strategic move timed to take advantage of the current planting season and broaden the agricultural base that feeds the animal‑feed business.

These announcements come amid a six‑session losing streak for Zichis shares on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX), which the Executive Director attributed partly to profit‑taking.

According to Ogbaisi, the animal‑feed mill was upgraded from a 2‑tonne‑per‑hour capacity to a fully operational 5‑tonne‑per‑hour facility.

He explained that the plant can produce about 1,200 tonnes per month, based on 12 operating cycles across 20 working days. This output equates to roughly 40,000 bags of animal feed monthly, with each bag priced at N13,500.
