Zamfara Government Suspends Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Rector for Alleged Insubordination

The Zamfara State Government has suspended Dr. Sirajo Shinkafi, the Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, citing alleged misconduct and insubordination.

The suspension, effective immediately, was announced on Monday in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada.

According to the statement, the decision was made to ensure the smooth running of both academic and administrative activities at the institution.

“The Government assures the Polytechnic community and the general public that measures have been put in place to ensure the uninterrupted administration of the institution,” the statement read.

The state government did not disclose further details about the allegations against the rector, but said the action was necessary to safeguard effective management of the polytechnic.

Attempts to contact Dr. Shinkafi for comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
