Zamfara Begins Paying Gratuities to Fourth Batch of Retirees

The Zamfara State Government has begun disbursing the fourth batch of gratuities to retirees for the 2024–2025 period.

A statement from the Ministry of Information and Culture reported that Governor Dauda Lawal instructed the Office of the Accountant‑General to start the payments immediately.

The move is part of the administration’s effort to enhance the welfare of retired civil servants and to ensure that their benefits are paid without delay.

“The government recognises the sacrifices and dedicated services rendered by retirees toward the development of Zamfara State and remains determined to prioritise their wellbeing,” the statement read.

It also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and the prompt settlement of gratuities and pension matters.

Retirees included in Batch 4 are urged to cooperate with the relevant authorities and complete the necessary procedures to facilitate a smooth payment process.

The government thanked pensioners and retirees for their patience and support while outstanding obligations continue to be addressed.
