National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, cast his ballot on Saturday during the party’s presidential primary held at Ampang East Ward in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State. The event marked the start of the APC’s nationwide primaries.

The venue attracted party stakeholders, accredited delegates and supporters, all of whom gathered in a peaceful manner in accordance with the party’s guidelines.

Yilwatda, who voted amid tight but orderly arrangements, praised the conduct of the members, commending their discipline and the calm atmosphere that prevailed throughout the process.

He described the primary as a vital democratic exercise that highlights the APC’s strength and unity as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the calm and coordinated environment in Ampang East Ward demonstrates the party faithful’s commitment to internal democracy and credible electoral processes.

Our correspondent noted that the voting proceeded without incident, with a large turnout of members who came to observe and participate.
