Yamal Named La Liga Player of the Year

Teenage Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal was awarded La Liga’s player of the year on Friday after leading the club to the championship.

The honor follows his Brazilian teammate Raphina, who received the award in 2025.

Despite missing a significant portion of the first half of the season due to groin problems, Yamal scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists across 28 league appearances.
