World Cup 2026: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Says He’ll Support Another Nation Besides Sweden

Former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimović has announced that he will be cheering for Croatia during the World Cup, in addition to supporting his home country.

The ex‑Manchester United and Paris Saint‑Germain striker made the comment on Fox Sports, also noting that he is particularly interested in Group L of the tournament.

“Group L. We have England. We have Croatia. I’m supporting them in this tournament,” Ibrahimović said.

“Then, we have Ghana with big talents. Let’s see what they bring. We have Panama.”

“Unfortunately, in this group, I think they will be a punching bag for England and Croatia, and Ghana might disturb them and take some points.”
