Former France striker Thierry Henry has described Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as “players from another planet.”

Henry made the comment on a Fox Sports program with former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimović.

The Arsenal legend was speaking after Messi guided Argentina to a 3‑0 win over Algeria in the World Cup match earlier today.

Messi’s hat‑trick for Inter Miami gave Argentina the victory against the North Africans.

“You all know Messi well, and we (Ibrahimović) have also played alongside him,” Henry said.

“We must cherish these moments; there are truly fewer and fewer opportunities to watch him.”

“We said before the match that this man and the player we will see tomorrow (Cristiano Ronaldo) both seem to be from another planet.”
