Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed two positions Santos forward Neymar will play for his team at the World Cup, starting this month.

Ancelotti spoke at his post-match interview after Brazil defeated Panama 6-2 in an international friendly match at the weekend.

Neymar did not play the Panama match because he is still recovering from injury, as the likes of Raphinha and Vinicius played in the attack line.

“Neymar has to play in the position he’s meant to play,” Ancelotti said. “That is in the centre of the field; he can’t play on the wing.

“He won’t play as a winger; he will play in the centre of the field, as a forward or attacking midfielder, in one of those positions.

“That’s the position Vinicius and Raphinha played today.”
