Lere Olayinka, a media aide to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, criticized social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse—known online as Verydarkman (VDM)—for linking Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate Kingsley Chinda to alleged land‑grabbing in Abuja.
VDM posted a video on his official Facebook page on Friday that referenced footage he had shared on social media on December 11, 2024. In the clip, the self‑styled “online police” accused Wike of forcibly acquiring an estate in the Life Camp area of the FCT and allocating it to his associates, including Chinda.
“Wike woke up one morning and said he had revoked it. One of those who has a big share in the whole of this thing is the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives in the name of Kingsley Chinda,” VDM said in the earlier video.
When Chinda was announced as the APC candidate for the 2027 Rivers State gubernatorial election, VDM added, “This same Chinda? Rivers State is finished.”
In response, Lere Olayinka posted on Facebook, calling VDM a “very dull man.” He accused the commentator of “advertising his ignorance after he must have collected money from the supposed owner of the property.”
Olayinka claimed that VDM and his alleged instigator “became silent when we brought out facts that the said land was never allocated to the claimant.” He further stated, “Instead of Very Dull Man apologising for misleading the public, he simply went dumb, moved on to other issues and continued with his game.”
