We didn’t vote for Tinubu just to play around, says Joe Igbokwe

APC leader Joe Igbokwe said President Bola Tinubu was not elected to “come and play”.

In a Tuesday post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe warned the opposition that Tinubu was elected to rework Nigeria and should be allowed to pursue that mandate.

He cautioned that any opposition that resolutely blocks Tinubu’s re‑election effort will face consequences.

He wrote, “We voted for PBAT to come and retool and rework Nigeria. We did not vote for him to come to play or continue the business as usual.

“No Sir. We have to push this country to rise and work again. If you adamantly stand in the way, you will pay for it”.

DAILY POST reports that opposition leaders have concluded plans to remove the president in 2027 over his alleged inability to quell the economic and other crises bedeviling the nation.
