President Donald Trump has stated that Iran must agree never to possess a nuclear weapon or bomb.
He added that he would be meeting in the White House Situation Room “now” to make what he called a final determination regarding Iran.
The remarks were posted on Trump’s Truth Social account on Friday.
“Iran must agree that they will never have a nuclear weapon or bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic in both directions. All water mines, if any, will be terminated,” Trump said.
The president also suggested that the United States would locate and destroy Iran’s enriched material, which he said is buried deep underground following the U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities last year.
“No money will be exchanged until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to. I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination,” Trump added.
