WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons Group Opponent Zambia Line Up Algeria Friendlies

The Copper Queens of Zambia will play two friendlies against Algeria as part of the their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Completesports.com reports.

The two friendlies will be played on Sunday, 19 July, and Wednesday, 22 July before the two teams jet out to Morocco on the same flight for the competition.

Nora Häuptle’s side will leave for Algeria on Monday , 13 July for their final preparation for WAFCON 2026.

Zambia have been drawn in Group C with defending champions Super Falcons of Nigeria, regional rivals Malawi, and Egypt.

They will face Egypt in their opening fixture at the Stade Olympique de Rabat, Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July.

The Copper Queens’ second group game against the Super Falcons is slated for Stade El Barid, Rabat on Saturday, 1 August.

Their last group fixture against the Scorchers of Malawi is slated for Rabat on Wednesday, 5 August.

Zambia will be making their fifth WAFCON appearance in Morocco.
