Victor Osimhen could still move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe this summer despite several public affirmations that he is keen to stay at Galatasaray, Afrik‑Foot reports.
Reports in Spain have revealed that the Nigeria international has been offered to Barcelona by his representatives.
The 27‑year‑old striker remains one of Europe’s most feared goalscorers after another prolific campaign with Galatasaray. His name has regularly been linked with several elite clubs, and Barcelona are the latest side to be presented with the opportunity to sign him.

There is no question about the respect Osimhen commands inside the Catalan club. His pace, aerial strength, physical presence and finishing ability have made him one of the most recognisable forwards in world football.
However, despite being offered the chance to bring the Super Eagles star to Camp Nou, Barcelona are not prepared to change the transfer strategy they have been working on for months.

The main reason behind Barcelona’s reluctance to pursue Osimhen is their determination to sign Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez.
Club president Joan Laporta, sporting director Deco and head coach Hansi Flick are understood to view the Argentina international as the ideal addition to the squad. Barcelona believe Álvarez’s mobility, pressing ability and versatility suit Flick’s tactical approach better.
While Osimhen is regarded as a proven penalty‑box striker capable of leading any attack in Europe, Barcelona’s recruitment team have already mapped out Álvarez as their primary target.

At the moment, the La Liga champions have placed Osimhen in the background rather than at the centre of their plans. The Nigerian remains admired at Camp Nou, but only as an alternative should Barcelona’s pursuit of Álvarez eventually collapse.
Unless circumstances change dramatically in the coming weeks, Barcelona appear determined to stick to their original roadmap, leaving Osimhen waiting to see whether another European giant makes a decisive move for his signature this summer.
