Victor Osimhen, who plays for both the Super Eagles and Galatasaray, is expected to be instrumental in retaining Argentine forward Mauro Icardi at the Turkish club, reports Afrik Foot.

Icardi arrived at Okan Buruk’s side on loan in 2022 and signed permanently the following year for €10 million.

Since his permanent move, the former Paris Saint‑Germain striker has recorded 77 goals and 25 assists in 133 appearances, helping Galatasaray secure four league titles and earning the 2024 Golden Boot.

Icardi’s Galatasaray demands involve Victor Osimhen

Icardi’s contract with RAMS Park expires this summer, and he has been linked with a possible transfer to Juventus, who are expected to release Dusan Vlahovic next month.

Despite the speculation, the Argentine forward has expressed a desire to remain in Istanbul and has submitted specific conditions to the club, requesting a two‑year deal.

According to Sozcu, Galatasaray’s initial offer to the former Inter Milan striker includes an annual salary of €5 million—€2.5 million less than his current earnings—paired with a one‑year contract that contains an option to extend for an additional season.

Icardi’s primary demand is a guaranteed two‑year contract from the outset. He also wants assurance of a regular place in the starting eleven, forming a two‑man attack alongside Victor Osimhen. The club has been informed of these requirements and will respond in due course.

When both forwards have been on the pitch together for Galatasaray, they have accumulated 2.21 points per game over 64 matches.
