Veteran tennis star Venus Williams has confirmed that she will compete in doubles at the French Open.
Williams will partner with Hailey Baptiste for the clay‑court tournament at Roland Garros, which starts on May 24 in Paris.

She will not play in the singles event.
The American tennis player entered the Australian Open as a wild‑card, where she was defeated in three sets by Serbia’s Olga Danilovic in the first round.
Williams is a former World No. 1 in both singles and doubles. She has won seven Grand Slam titles in singles and 14 in doubles, including the French Open doubles championships in 1999 and 2010.
