The United States has carried out new airstrikes in southern Iran.
The strikes destroyed four one‑way attack drones that were threatening the area around the Strait of Hormuz, followed by a ground‑control site.
A U.S. official said that American forces targeted an Iranian ground‑control station in Bandar Abbas that was about to launch a fifth drone.
The official described the operations as purely defensive, stating that the United States aimed to preserve the ceasefire.
According to DAILY POST, this is the second instance in three days that the U.S. has conducted self‑defense strikes against Iranian military targets in southern Iran.
Previously, on Monday, the U.S. struck Iranian missile sites and boats that U.S. Central Command reported were preparing to launch mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
