Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle praised his team for their strong showing against Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles won 2‑0 in the Unity Cup semi‑final at the Valley on Tuesday night.
Millwall winger Femi Azeez scored both goals.
Chelle expressed satisfaction with the players’ preparation leading up to the match.
“This game was good. The players worked a lot during the two days – two training sessions of three hours each – so they worked a lot and deserved this victory,” Chelle said after the game.
The coach also spoke positively about the opposition.
“Zimbabwe is a good team with strong players and they played well to win this game. I am happy for them. Congratulations to the players,” added Chelle.
