UCL Final: O’Leary Says Arsenal vs PSG Will Feature the Best Attack Against the Best Defence

Arsenal legend David O’Leary has described Saturday’s Champions League final as a showdown of contrasting tactical philosophies.

The Gunners will be aiming for a Double when they face the current title holders, Paris Saint‑Germain.

O’Leary has labeled the encounter a battle between the finest attack and the strongest defence.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think it will be a very close game. I don’t think there’s much in it. It’s who performs on the night and who takes their chances.”

“It’s going to be a chess match of the best defence in the world, with probably on‑form the best goalkeeper in the world, and one of the best midfielders protecting that back four in Declan Rice, against a team with the best attack in the world who can really hurt you, particularly on the break.”

“You’ve got to respect PSG because their strength is going forward. We saw that in the Bayern Munich match. Two teams where the philosophy is to take each other on.”
