UCL final: Gabriel breaks silence after missing penalty as Arsenal lose to PSG

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has spoken about the “pain” he felt after missing the decisive penalty in Saturday’s Champions League final, which ended in a defeat to Paris Saint‑Germain.

The Gunners stayed in the game for most of the match after Kai Havertz opened the scoring early on.

However, Ousmane Dembélé equalised for PSG from the spot when Cristhian Mosquera fouled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The match finished 1‑1 after 120 minutes and was decided by a shootout.

Gabriel missed Arsenal’s fifth penalty when Eberechi Eze’s attempt went wide.

“It’s painful, but I’m proud of this team and everything we achieved together this season,” Gabriel wrote on Instagram.
