Nigeria’s Flamingos are stepping up their preparations for the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Guinea.

Coach Akeem Busari’s squad arrived in Ikenne from Abuja on Sunday to continue their build‑up for the encounter.

On Thursday, the Flamingos will face Lakeside Queens in a friendly on the practice pitch of the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

According to DAILY POST, the team played five friendlies during the first phase of their Abuja preparations.

More friendly matches are expected before the squad travels to Conakry for the first leg on Sunday, 24 May.

The return leg is slated for the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne one week later.
